As a Merchandising Coordinator co-op student, you will experience the diverse aspects of a Pricing Analyst role. You will work both independently and, in a team, to help build, create and support pricing initiatives across our banners. You will work closely with the category management team to ensure our financial metrics are being met.

There will be opportunities to be exposed to how category plans are built and gain a true understanding of the stem to stern process. You will ensure data is clean and that information is correctly updated in the system. You will also work with our operations team to varying degrees.

Here’s where you’ll be focusing

- Coordinate, collect and analyze competitive retail prices
- Complete analysis and put forward suggestions to improve financial results, processes and business improvements
- Manage regular margins for assigned merchandising categories through system and data base applications to ensure that gross margins targets for categories are achieve
- Maintain regular retail pricing strategy for assigned merchandising categories using SAP
- Maintain and review all costing/retail documentation to ensure integrity
- Review pricing index reports and offer suggestions to maintain targets
- Analyze Neilsen, SAP, BW, IRI, CIS,



and governance reports and put forward suggestions and opportunities in the area of regular pricing
- Run price optimization scenarios and offer suggestions to category management to maximize sales and profitability
- Responsible for third party pricing issue resolution and assist in supporting stores to resolve issues
- Responsible to suggest prices to maximize margins by identifying and preventing price or audit issues that negatively impact store margins
- Review/ capture pricing strategies with Category Manager

What you have to offer

- Currently enrolled in Business, Commerce, Finance, or a related program.
- Comfortable working with spreadsheets and ready to build on functions like lookups, matching, and data organization.
- You notice when something doesn’t add up and take the initiative to fix it.
- You enjoy digging into questions, figuring out root causes, and finding practical solutions.
- Able to work with different teams, ask good questions, and keep things moving forward.
