Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable, organized, and professional Tow Truck Dispatcher to coordinate towing and roadside service calls, communicate with customers and drivers, and ensure calls are handled efficiently and safely. The dispatcher will be responsible for assigning drivers, monitoring call progress, updating customers, and maintaining accurate job records.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and manage incoming towing, roadside assistance, police, MTO, and commercial calls.
- Collect accurate information from customers, including location, vehicle details, service required, and destination.
- Dispatch the appropriate tow truck and driver based on location, equipment, availability, and type of call.
- Monitor drivers and provide updates regarding ETAs and call status.
- Communicate professionally with customers, drivers, police, MTO, repair facilities, insurance companies, and other customers.
- Handle multiple calls and priorities at the same time while maintaining accuracy.
- Follow up on pending and delayed calls to ensure they are completed efficiently.
- Update dispatch software and job records with accurate information.
- Ensure drivers provide required job information, photos, notes, and completion details.
- Confirm pricing, payment requirements, and customer information when required.
- Escalate payment issues, difficult customers, accidents, equipment problems, or other concerns to management.
- Coordinate after-hours, emergency, and priority calls.
- Maintain transparent communication with the dispatch team and provide proper shift handover information.
- Keep track of available trucks, drivers, equipment, and current job status.
- Ensure all calls are properly documented and closed after completion.
- Follow company safety, customer service, and dispatch procedures.
Pay: $18.20-$25.00 per hour
