ON-PREMISE CHAIN & KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER - BC Status: Full-Time, Contract – Maternity Leave Coverage Contract Term: October 2026 – approximately 14 months Reporting to: Provincial Sales Manager Charton Hobbs is one of Canada’s largest privately held wine & spirits importers, committed to delivering exceptional and diverse wines and spirits to consumers. With a focus on quality and innovation, we are seeking a strategic and experienced On-Premise Chain & Key Account Manager to join our team. This role will specifically focus on managing key accounts, with a special emphasis on cultivating and enhancing partnerships with regional chains.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and executing strategies to drive sales, strengthen relationships, and maximize brand presence across the province, including key accounts throughout Vancouver and Whistler. This position is the lead for on-premise development with impact across Chain accounts, supplier relationships, inter-agency collaboration, and portfolio development. In this role you will work with exciting and prestigious brands such as Famille Perrin, Foley Wine Estates, Chateau Miraval, Cakebread, Luxardo, and many more.
In addition to managing the assigned territory, you will be working closely with our marketing and sales teams to assist and often lead the execution of trainings and events.
Key Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including regional chains and other strategic partners. Drive revenue growth through effective account management and collaboration with internal teams. Identify and prioritize restaurant chain partnerships aligned with business objectives.
Collaborate with marketing teams to create tailored promotions and campaigns for restaurant chain partners.
Develop and implement comprehensive strategic account plans, including specific initiatives for key accounts. Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to inform strategic decision-making.
Sales Performance: Set and achieve sales targets for key accounts and regional chain partners. Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for growth and implement strategies to address challenges. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, distribution, and supply chain, to ensure seamless execution of account and partnership strategies. Provide feedback and insights from key accounts and regional chain partners to inform product development and marketing strategies.
Customer Engagement: Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts and restaurant chain partners to assess performance, address concerns, and identify opportunities for collaboration. Act as the primary point of contact for restaurant chain partners, ensuring exceptional customer service. Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, or a related field is an asset.
Proven experience in key account management within the beverage-alcohol industry, with a focus on regional chain partnerships. Strong understanding of the beverage-alcohol industry, including trends and dynamics. Ability to develop and execute strategic plans for both key accounts and partnerships.
Results-oriented with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. Proficient in using CRM systems and other relevant software. Availability for evening and weekend work is required, as well as availability for occasional domestic and international travel.
