We are looking for enthusiastic and engaging Online Science Tutors to teach students from Grade 2 to Grade 8 in one-on-one or small-group online classes.

Our organization provides the curriculum, lesson materials, slides, and teaching resources, so tutors do not need to create lessons from scratch.

We are especially looking for teachers who can make science interesting, interactive, and enjoyable for young learners. The ideal tutor is energetic, expressive, encouraging, and able to keep students actively involved throughout the lesson.

Responsibilities

- Teach online science classes for students in Grades 2–8
- Deliver lessons using the curriculum and teaching materials provided by our organization
- Explain science concepts clearly in age-appropriate language
- Create an energetic, interactive, and positive online classroom environment
- Use questions, examples, demonstrations, and discussion to encourage student participation
- Adapt explanations and teaching pace according to each student’s level
- Encourage curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific reasoning
- Check student understanding throughout the lesson
- Review and assign homework when required
- Provide brief lesson feedback and student progress reports
- Communicate professionally with the academic management team

Requirements
- Previous experience teaching or tutoring children, preferably in science
- Comfortable teaching science from Grade 2 to Grade 8
- Strong understanding of general science topics, including life science, physical science, earth science, and introductory biology, chemistry, and physics




- Strong spoken English and clear communication skills
- Able to explain concepts in a simple, engaging, and child-friendly way
- Energetic, expressive, enthusiastic, and engaging teaching style
- Able to build rapport with children and encourage active participation
- Patient, responsible, reliable, and responsive
- Comfortable using Zoom online teaching platform
- Reliable internet connection, computer, webcam, and quiet teaching environment

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, or a related field
- Teaching certification or classroom teaching experience
- Experience teaching elementary or middle school students
- Experience with North American, British, IB, Cambridge, or similar science curricula
