The Certified Orthodontic
Assistant is involved in a wide range of patient care activities, including assisting the doctor during appointments, treating orthodontic patients, sterilization procedures, setting up the operatories, taking impressions and x-rays, and occasional minor lab work. Assist
Orthodontist with consultations and all stages of orthodontic procedures such as direct bond bracket procedures, arch wire and appliance adjustments, and aligner appointments Building positive relationships with patients, families, and coworkers to ensure the targeted outcome treatment remains on schedule Licensed Dental Assistant (formerly referred to as a Certified Dental Assistant/CDA in British Columbia) and licensed with BCCOHP. ~1+ years' experience as a Licensed Dental Assistant (formerly referred to as a Certified Dental Assistant/CDA in British Columbia) ~ Sensitive to treat children with special needs. ~ Good understanding of relevant health and safety regulations ~ Proficiency with orthodontic/dental management software systems is preferred, but not required. ~ Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships and rapport with patients, parents, doctors, fellow team members and the community ~
