Overview
Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Painter, where your skills will bring precision, color, and quality to our production process! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for applying paint and coatings to a variety of components and assemblies, ensuring they meet strict quality standards and specifications. Your mechanical knowledge and experience with hand tools, power tools, and welding will be essential in preparing surfaces, handling equipment, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, grinding, or masking to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality
- Operate painting equipment such as spray guns, brushes, rollers, and other power tools with precision and safety awareness
- Apply coatings, paints, primers, or sealants according to specified colors and finishes using proper techniques
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues related to painting machinery or surface preparation tools
- Assist with assembly tasks when needed, integrating painted components into larger assemblies or products
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment to promote safety and efficiency in accordance with lean manufacturing practices
- Follow safety protocols diligently when handling chemicals like paints and solvents, including proper storage and disposal
Experience
- Proven experience in industrial painting within a manufacturing environment or similar setting
- Familiarity with the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and surface preparation techniques
- Basic math skills for measuring surfaces, mixing paints or coatings accurately, and following technical specifications
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand machinery operation and perform minor troubleshooting or adjustments
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste during painting processes
- Experience working with cranes or forklifts is a plus for moving heavy components safely around the workspace
- Prior exposure to machining or assembly environments enhances understanding of integrated production processes

Pay: $26.00-$48.00 per hour
