Enhance Indigenous health as a part-time Community Health and Home Care Nurse with the Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council in Tofino. Provide vital nursing services across diverse community settings. The Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council is hiring a permanent, part time Registered Nurse in this dual role focused on community health and home care.
You will serve Indigenous individuals and families, offering health promotion, education, and comprehensive care management. Travel throughout NTC territories on Vancouver Island is a requirement, encompassing various transport methods. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide health promotion and disease prevention services
- Conduct immunization clinics and prenatal education
- Offer one-on-one and group health consultations
- Establish partnerships to address community health issues
- Understand and apply principles of epidemiology and determinants of health Requirements:
- Current RN license with BC College of Nurses
- Experience with Indigenous communities preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
- Valid BC Driver's license and reliable vehicle
