Part-Time HR Partner | Flexible Hybrid
Location: Saskatchewan, with Regina-area presence and occasional travel
Work Arrangement: Primarily work from home with onsite presence as needed
Hours: Up to 40 hours per month
Compensation: C$65/hour
Employment Type: Part-Time Contract The Opportunity A growing Saskatchewan-based automotive electrical/service organization with multiple locations is seeking an experienced Part-Time HR Partner to provide practical, hands-on HR support to its leadership team and employees.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys working independently, building relationships and helping a growing organization strengthen its people practices.
The HR Partner will work directly with the CEO and organizational leaders. The position will begin at approximately 40 hours per month, with potential for the scope and hours to grow over time as business needs evolve. For the right individual, there may be potential for the role to eventually develop into a larger or full-time opportunity.
What You’ll Do The HR Partner will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership while helping strengthen HR practices across the organization. Key responsibilities include:
- Provide guidance on employee relations, performance concerns, discipline, terminations, leaves and other workplace matters
- Coach and support managers in handling employee situations effectively and consistently
- Assist with workplace investigations and sensitive employee matters
- Review and strengthen HR policies and practices in accordance with Saskatchewan employment requirements
- Develop practical manager tools, templates, checklists and HR resources
- Help create a consistent and welcoming employee onboarding experience
- Identify HR gaps and recommend practical solutions
- Build relationships with employees and leaders across company locations
- Help leadership establish consistent HR practices without creating unnecessary bureaucracy
- Respond to urgent or time-sensitive HR matters within mutually agreed-upon response times
What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate is an experienced HR professional who is proactive, energetic, responsive and comfortable taking initiative. This individual should be able to identify what needs to be done and move work forward without requiring significant day-to-day direction.
Ideal qualifications include
- Approximately 7 years of progressive HR generalist, HR Business Partner, employee relations or HR consulting experience
- Strong knowledge of Saskatchewan employment standards and Canadian workplace requirements
- Demonstrated experience handling employee relations, performance management, investigations, discipline and terminations
- Experience developing or improving HR policies, onboarding programs, manager tools and HR processes
- Strong judgment and ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters
- Ability to work independently while building strong relationships with leaders and employees
- Experience supporting multi-location, operational, service, automotive, trades or similar workforces is an asset
- CPHR designation preferred,
but substantial relevant experience will also be considered
Work Schedule & Flexibility
This role is designed to offer significant flexibility. Most work can be completed remotely and scheduled around the successful candidate’s availability, provided agreed-upon deadlines and response expectations are met.
Because relationship-building is important to the role, the successful candidate should expect more onsite interaction during the initial stage to learn the business, meet employees and leaders, understand the culture and build trust.
After the initial onboarding period, the position will be primarily work from home, with occasional onsite visits and travel to other Saskatchewan locations as business needs require.
