Partner Success Consultant

Frontier Tech Partners, Greater Toronto Area. Remote-first, with occasional in-person days in the GTA and some travel to industry events.

Six-month initial term, with a conversion review against the criteria below. Reports to the Founder and CEO. Target start: November 2026.

ABOUT FRONTIER TECH PARTNERS

Frontier Tech Partners is a boutique consultancy that helps technology companies turn their Microsoft partnership into a source of revenue, incentives, differentiation, and visibility. Founded by a former Microsoft Global Partner Program Manager who designed parts of the program partners navigate today, FTP serves MSPs, VARs, SIs, and software companies across Canada, the United States, and Europe. We deliver hands-on operational execution inside our clients' Microsoft Partner Center accounts, not just advice.

WHY THIS ROLE EXISTS

Today the founder delivers every engagement. This role is the first step in changing that.

You would be the first delivery hire. Much of the playbook is not finalized yet. You will build and improve it while delivering, and what you build becomes how FTP delivers.

You work beside the founder on live client accounts, and you learn the Microsoft partner program from the person who designed the partner advantages framework and led the Solutions Partner Designation work. That is not something you pick up from documentation.

The ramp is fast by design. Your first workstream in week two, an audit you lead by month two, and your own client accounts by month six.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Client delivery, the core of the role:

- Execute engagement workstreams inside client Partner Center accounts: incentive and co-op claims and the proof of execution behind them, enrollment corrections, designation and specialization tracking, Marketplace listings, and cleanup.
- Deliver the Microsoft Partnership Health Audit & Roadmap, from data gathering and analysis through the written report and the findings presentation.
- Build and deliver client sprint summaries: FTP's twice-monthly report to every active client, opening with a scorecard of what is being tracked.
- Carry client communication on your own work, then on whole engagements as you earn them.
- Log your client hours daily. Hours are how we know whether an engagement is priced right.

Building the delivery system

- Run FTP's SOPs and improve them. Where none exists, write the first version while doing the work.
- Train on MINA, FTP's internal Microsoft program knowledge base,

and give back to it: codify what delivery teaches you into entries and SOPs, put them through MINA's review and approve cycle, and classify what can reach a client and what stays internal.

YOUR FIRST SIX MONTHS

Weeks 1 and 2. Access to client Partner Center accounts, MINA onboarding, shadow live work, and take your first workstream. Everything you touch is reviewed before it lands in a client account.

Month 2. Lead a Health Audit & Roadmap end to end, with the founder presenting the findings. Run the audit SOP and log where it is wrong.

Month 3. Present your own audit findings. Own the sprint summaries for every active client.

Months 4 to 6. Run workstreams across all clients, carry client communication on your own work, and get five MINA entries or SOP revisions through the review cycle.

Month 6. Conversion review against the three criteria below.

CONVERSION TO PERMANENT

At the six-month review, conversion to a permanent role is assessed against three criteria. All three are in your control, and you will know where you stand at every month-end.

- Two Health Audit & Roadmaps delivered end to end, with founder review under three hours each and no material corrections after review.
- Sprint summaries for every active client delivered at six consecutive sprint boundaries (three months), with the client communication on that work handled without escalation.
- Five MINA entries or SOP revisions approved through the review cycle, including your improvements to the Health Audit SOP.

Salary and title are reviewed at conversion. On conversion the role becomes Partner Success Manager. Senior Partner Success Manager is the step after, earned by owning client relationships on full engagements, and its criteria are set in writing with you during your first month.

WHAT YOU BRING

Required

- You have built something from nothing that other people then ran: a process, a reporting system, an SOP, or a function. You will be asked to show it.
- You learn a complex domain fast, and you can show it: a system, program, or field you took from zero to competent, how long it took,

and how you knew you were there.
- Advanced Excel.
- AI fluency, and the judgment to catch when it is wrong. You will work in MINA daily, and a confident wrong answer about a Microsoft program costs a client money.
- Plain-language writing and speaking. Sprint summaries and audit reports are written deliverables read by non-technical executives.
- Ownership. You run things end to end, catch your own errors, and say so early when something slips.
- Discretion. You will hold admin access to client Partner Center accounts, work under NDA, and sometimes deliver under a client's own brand.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.

Assets

- Microsoft partner experience of any kind: Partner Center, incentive or co-op claims, designations, Marketplace listings, or partner operations at an MSP, CSP, or distributor. Depth here moves you up the salary band, but we hire for potential first.
- Power BI or a comparable reporting tool. Power Automate or workflow automation.
- Consulting or client-facing experience.

COMPENSATION

- Base salary $85,000 to $100,000 CAD, set at hire by the depth of what you have built and any Microsoft partner experience.
- During the term: vacation pay at 4 percent. No group benefits during the term.
- On conversion: four weeks paid vacation, group benefits (being set up), and FTP pays for Microsoft certification exams.

This description is an overview of the role. Final terms, including the term, conversion, and compensation, are set out in a written employment agreement, which governs.

WHAT THIS IS NOT

- Not a back-office analytics seat. Client-facing work starts in month one.
- Not a large firm. There is no training department. You learn through MINA, live engagements, and direct time with the founder, and that time is scheduled, not assumed.
- Not a finished system. If you need the process to exist before you can start, this is the wrong role. If you want to be the person who wrote it, apply.

HOW TO APPLY

Apply here, then email two short answers (150 words each) to [email protected] with the subject line Partner Success Consultant:

a. Describe something you built from nothing that other people then used. What broke first, and what did you change?

b. Explain a program or system you know well to a CEO who has two minutes.

Applications are reviewed weekly. The posting closes October 2, 2026.

Questions are welcome at [email protected].
