Position Summary
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Parts Purchasing Clerk is responsible for ensuring optimal inventory levels for the warehouses by managing the parts inventory, processing of parts orders in compliance with applicable regulations, and accurate delivery of part throughout the warehouse/operations in a timely and efficient manner.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Receive, store, and issue parts and supplies as needed.
· Maintain an organized inventory system for accurate tracking parts and supplies.
· Process parts orders, returns, and exchanges.
· Prepare parts for delivery to department, technicians or personnel.
· Assist in identifying and ordering parts as per operational requirements.
· Maintain accurate records of parts and inventory transactions.
· Perform regular stock checks and ensure optimal inventory levels are up to date.
· Collaborate with other departments to fulfill parts requests in a timely manner.
· Ensure the parts storage area is clean and organized.
· Assist in maintaining safety standards in the parts area.
Qualifications and Skills
· High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications related to inventory management or parts considered an asset.
· Minimum two (2) experience in a parts or inventory-related role.
· G-drivers license and clean drivers abstract required.
· Working knowledge of inventory management software.
· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
· Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent email communication and customer service skills.
· Ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed.
Schedule
· 8.5 hour day shift
· Monday to Friday
· Overtime and occasional call-in’s as required
Language Requirements
· French not required
Location & Work Arrangement
· Primarily based in Kitchener, Ontario
· Candidates must be able to reliably commute or relocate prior to starting
· In office position, five days per week
Compensation and Benefits
· Hourly Rate: $26 - $31 per hour
· Employment Type: Full-time (40 hours per week, guaranteed)
