I am seeking a reliable, respectful and physically capable Personal Support Worker (PSW) to provide practical mobility assistance as I return to the workforce.
The primary responsibility is to assist with the protected loading and unloading of my wheelchair from my vehicle when I arrive at and leave the workplace. This is a focused support role and is not primarily a personal-care or housekeeping position.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with safely loading and unloading a wheelchair from the vehicle.
- Help prepare and position the wheelchair for use.
- Provide reasonable mobility assistance when entering or leaving the workplace, as required.
- Ensure the wheelchair and related mobility equipment are handled carefully and safely.
- Be punctual and available at agreed arrival and departure times.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality and respect for personal independence.
Qualifications PSW training or related caregiving/support experience is preferred.
The successful candidate should be dependable, punctual, physically able to safely handle the wheelchair, comfortable providing mobility assistance, and able to travel reliably to the workplace.
Schedule: Part-time, primarily around workplace arrival and departure times. Specific days and hours will be discussed with the successful candidate.
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate, based on experience and agreed duties.
