Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Bather to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality bathing and grooming services to pets, ensuring their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and the ability to handle various breeds with care, patience and professionalism. Monday to Friday hours. Weekends we are closed.

Duties

- Bathe and groom pets according to breed standards and individual client requests
- Ensure the safety and comfort of pets during the bathing process
- Use appropriate bathing techniques and equipment for different coat types
- Maintain cleanliness of grooming areas, tools, and equipment
- Assist with animal restraint during grooming sessions as necessary
- Monitor the health and behavior of pets during their stay
- Read and apply instructions of services provided for each pet

Skills

- Strong dog handling skills with experience in various breeds
- Knowledge of animal care practices,



including pet grooming techniques
- Experience in veterinary settings is a plus (veterinary technician or assistant experience)
- Familiarity with animal restraint methods to ensure safety during grooming
- Ability to lift heavy animals when necessary, ensuring proper handling techniques are used
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with pet owners
- Experience in kennel environments or pet sitting is advantageous
- Understanding of dog training principles is beneficial but not required
- Must have own means of transportation
