AAA Wildlife Control – Field Technician

Canada's Leading Wildlife Control Company since 1984 is looking to hire Field Technicians living in Coquitlam, Pitt Meadows, Maple Ridge, or Richmond. Must be a current local permanent resident. Service Area: Metro Vancouver

Compensation: $60,000 to $75,000 as training progresses — based on hourly, overtime, incentive, and bonus pay, with no limits to your earning potential.

About the Role: Working in wildlife exclusion is an exciting and highly rewarding trade that keeps you physically fit and mentally sharp. Every day brings new challenges as you solve problems involving raccoons, squirrels, skunks, rats, mice, bats, and birds of all kinds — all without the use of pesticides.

This is not an easy job — it’s demanding, hands-on work that requires dedication, grit, and a strong work ethic. You will spend long days on roofs, in crawl spaces, and in attics, often lifting and carrying heavy ladders and equipment. You Are Someone Who

Is looking for full-time, long-term employment (5 years)

Enjoys solving problems, working with small tools / repairing things and managing people's expectations

Has a general respect for all animals

Has no fear of heights or confined spaces

Doesn’t mind getting dirty

Can handle working in the rain and cold or sunny and hot





Thrives in a quick-paced outdoor setting working independently

Holds a valid BC driver’s licence and can pass a police background check

Main Duties Include

Performing detailed building and roof inspections, animal removals, animal proofing, and repairs

Setting and removing rodent traps and performing preventative maintenance

Required Skills & Experience:

Experience and comfort climbing and working from heights

1–2 years in a construction-based trade

Fall Arrest Certification (Required)

Physically able to lift, carry, and climb extension ladders daily

Highly organized and detail oriented

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Some experience in home building, roofing, or carpentry

During our busy spring season,



significant overtime is available for those looking to maximize earnings. At a minimum, all technicians are required to work every second Saturday or Sunday during this period, with the option to work every Saturday or Sunday if desired. Due to the high demand and critical nature of the work in spring, vacation or leave is not available during this time. - Is this acceptable?

Experience

Climbing / Bouldering: 1 year (required- we will train you)

Extensive Extension Ladder experience

Licence/Certification: not required- we will train you

BC Driver’s Licence (required)
