Job term: 3 Permanent Join the Front Lines of Forest Fire Protection – Make a Meaningful Impact Join the Aviation, Forest Fire and Emergency Services (AFFES) team, and play a critical role in protecting Ontario's forests and communities from wildfires.

Service (OPS) is committed to being an employer of first choice, creating a positive and inclusive work environment. a defined benefit pension plan maternity and parental leave top-up perks which includes adoptive parents comprehensive health plan life and disability insurance flexible work arrangements on-the-job training to support your success in the role While working scheduled rotations from both a home base location and remote operating facilities in northern Ontario, you will: perform Pilot-in-Command flight and related duties on single & multi-engine fixed wing aircraft operating under visual and instrument flight rules engage in Single-Pilot water bombing operations in support of fire suppression function as Pilot-in-Command and/or Second-in-Command supporting off-airport Reduced Ground Roll operations in the far north assist clients in planning their flight requirements ensure the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft during all phases of flight be required to travel away from base, sometimes for extended periods be required to work overtime and to work in adverse conditions You have a valid Canadian Airline Transport Pilot Licence endorsed for single and multi-engine land and sea fixed-wing aircraft. You have a Category 1 Medical, valid for single pilot operations. You have a valid Restricted Radio Telephone Operator's Certificate.

You possess a valid Passport or the ability to acquire one. You have the ability to travel out of province. Technical knowledge You have extensive knowledge of float, waterbombing and instrument flight rules (IFR) transport flight operations.

You have the ability to apply and interpret the Aeronautics Act, Canadian Aviation Regulations (CAR's) and the Commercial Air Service Standards. You have knowledge of the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations. You have the ability to understand ministry air operations to safely operate aircraft according to regulations.

You have strong communication and interpersonal skills to deal with Nav-Canada, flight services, fire and air service staff, and a wide variety of client groups.
