The work includes signalling installations, minor civil works, environmental activities, and associated permits, licenses, access agreements, and stakeholder approvals. The consultant will oversee PLAA processes and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to obtain required approvals

- Develop and maintain the project PLAA Tracker.
- Track permit applications, comments, responses, submissions, and resubmissions.
- Prepare and submit permit and access applications.
- Forecast approval timelines and permit lead times.
- Coordinate with government agencies, municipalities, utilities, and stakeholders.
- Facilitate PLAA working group meetings and issue meeting minutes.
- Coordinate with design and construction teams for permit submissions.
- Monitor submission deadlines and identify project risks related to approvals.
- Provide regular progress updates to project leadership.
- Manage relationships with stakeholders such as City of Toronto, TTC, MECP, TRCA, MTO, and GO Transit.

Requirement

- Experience managing permits, licenses, access agreements, and regulatory approvals.




- Experience working with municipalities, government authorities, and transportation agencies.
- Ability to manage permit tracking, documentation, and reporting activities.
- Rail or transit infrastructure experience.
- Knowledge of Metrolinx permitting processes.
- Environmental permitting experience.
- Utility coordination experience (HONI, THESL, etc.).
- Conservation Authority and public right-of-way permitting experience.

In accordance with our compensation practices, ALTEN is providing the salary range associated with this opportunity. Final compensation will be determined after considering several factors, including professional experience, skill set, educational background, certifications, and geographic market conditions. The current target salary range for this role is $40 – $60 per hour.
