ConnectWell Community Health located in Renfrew County, Ontario is seeking a dynamic Primary Care Physician to join our inter-skilled team. This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including HOOPP. Position Summary: ConnectWell is a community governed not-for-profit primary health care organization. As a fully accredited health center, ConnectWell provides primary health care, health promotion and illness prevention services to individuals, families and the broader community.
Our team at ConnectWell includes Family Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Registered Practical Nurses, Respiratory Therapist, Dietitian, Health Promoter/Systems Navigator, Certified Diabetes Educators, Psychotherapists, IT and Administrative Support. Services are provided by salaried interdisciplinary teams working to their fullest possible scope in a collaborative practice to address the health and wellbeing needs of the people we serve.
ConnectWell Community Health Centre is situated in Whitewater Region and Bonnechere Valley in the villages of Cobden, Beachburg and Eganville in Renfrew County. We are located near the Ottawa River, home of the world-renowned whitewater rafting. It is a great recreational area with affordable housing (waterfront, rural or urban). Qualifications:
- Current registration with the College of Family Physicians or equivalent experience
- Current and unrestricted license with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
- Two-five years experience as a physician in primary care setting or community preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Excellent health assessment and clinical skills
- Demonstrates commitment to and knowledge of community-based health care.
- Ability to work evening hours, as required
- Ability to provide on-call telephone services on a rotation basis
- Valid driver’s license and use of a vehicle
- On site work required
