Salary and Benefits: According to the provincial salary grid ( www.stf.sk.ca )plus a benefits package that includes subsidized, furnished housing and a Northern living allowance. Moving assistance may also be available.
Qualifications:
- Saskatchewan Professional A Teacher's Certificate (or confirmation of eligibility)
- Bachelor of Education and a Master of Education in a related field.
- Knowledge and experience applying best practices in the areas of instruction, curriculum,land-based learning and assessment
- Knowledge of First Nations, Mtis, and Inuit languages, histories, and cultures
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a team as well as independently
The Preferred Candidate will have:
- Familiarity and experience with Northern issues
- Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience
- Minimum of five years of successful administrative experience
- Experience at the elementary school level
- Robust instructional leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Familiarity and experience with Indigenous education, culture and languages(s)
