Specialist - Medium Voltage Drives As a Product Management Specialist at Rockwell Automation, you will support the development and execution of product and marketing strategies for our Medium Voltage Drive products with focus on Medium Voltage Drives. You will work with cross-functional teams to support product lifecycle activities, understand customer and market needs, analyze product performance, and contribute to initiatives that support business growth. This is a global role with direct customer interactions.
Engaging with Business leadership, Development, Operations, and Engineering partners, execute on strategic business direction and Annual operating plans (AOP) Assist in strategic planning for the Medium Voltage Products Portfolio with focus on Medium Voltage drives through BSR (Business Strategy Review) and Annual Operating Plan (AOP) processes.
Product Lifecycle Management: Support product lifecycle activities for assigned products, including new product introductions, product enhancements, portfolio updates, and end-of-life activities. Drive product-market fit through Voice of Customer (VoC), market analysis, and competitive benchmarking. Lead creation and management of Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) aligned to customer needs and business outcomes.
Develop and own the feature backlog and roadmap for product development projects according to Business priorities. Manage the alignment between Product Requirement Documents (PRD) and Agile Release Train feature backlog for assigned development projects Product Performance: Support tracking and analysis of product costs, pricing, profitability,
and financial performance for assigned products and current product introductions to help identify trends, opportunities and areas requiring attention Product Quality Support: Drive product quality issue resolution engaging with Customer Loyalty, Sales, Quality, Engineering, and Technical Support teams including customer-facing messaging and prioritization. Engage with Commercial Engineering, Development, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Quality, Customer Support, and other teams to help execute product priorities and business initiatives.
Customer & Sales Support: Assist with product-related inquiries, customer requests, product enhancements, promotions, and project opportunities in partnership with Sales and other internal teams.
Commercial Programs: Support the development and execution of commercial programs and product initiatives, pricing strategies, competitive positioning designed to generate new business, increase market adoption/share. Develop product information, presentations, sales enablement materials, and other communications for internal and external audiences.
Continuous Improvement : Provide Product Management leadership to Development teams for product quality improvements, cost reductions, parts obsolescence, and to meet evolving standards and customer requested product changes and enhancements.
Market & Competitive Analysis: Gather and analyze information on market reports, trends, customer requirements, competitive products, and industry developments to support product and business decisions. Bachelor's degree in electrical , Electronics, Mechanical Engineering , Business, or a related discipline.
2+ years of related experience in product management, product marketing, engineering, in industrial automation, power control, or a related technical/commercial field. ~ Legal authorization to work in Canada. Ability to travel for business, including internationally, for up to 25% of the time .
Experience or exposure to industrial automation, power control, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), motor control, or related technologies .
Experience supporting product management, product marketing, engineering, sales, or commercial activities. Understanding of basic product lifecycle management concepts. Exposure to analyzing market, customer, competitive, or financial information. Commercial exposure through sales, marketing, customer-facing, or business development activities. Interest in developing deeper knowledge of the global industrial automation and Variable Frequency Drive market.
