Job Title: Product Owner -Store Allocations

Location: Mississauga - Hybrid

What you’ll do The IT Store Allocations organization is focused on modernizing dozens of divisional mainframe applications into a global cloud suite of products within a 5-year timeframe.

This Product Owner position is working within the Professional Services Scrum Team.

This Product

Owner will support a SAFe agile team through the entire software development life cycle (SDLC) to deliver features and enhancements to Onboard existing divisions on our Modernized Solutions. This person will be at the ground level having a direct impact on our customers receiving the right goods to the right store at the right time on the new modernized solution. Core responsibilities include prioritizing the scrum team’s backlog, managing stakeholder expectations, working with the team to prepare and present the sprint review & demo, prepare user stories, document “as-is” and “will-be” state, leading sprint planning, actively participate in all scrum ceremonies, prepare releases, and work across teams as needed.

This person will enable optimal team performance by ensuring that the team continuously has a backlog of well-defined and estimated user stories. The Product Owner leads sprint planning to ensure the team commitments are achievable, the business requirements are met, and the team is performing optimally.

Minimum Qualifications

. 10-12+ Yeras of IT Industry experince

·5+ years as a Product Owner within a dedicated agile team

· Excellent requirement solicitation and story writing skills

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, tailoring to audiences

· Excellent critical thinking skills and demonstrated ability to proactively manage stakeholder expectations

· Proven success as a self-starter demonstrated in a highly collaborative, matrix environment

· Strong working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban

· Relevant undergraduate BA, BS degree in IT or Business or equivalent experience

· Strong working knowledge of Jira and Confluence

· Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)

· Retail, Supply Chain business process knowledge/experience

NOTE – Key Fitment Guidelines

We are looking for a hands-on Product Owner with 10–14 years of overall IT experience and at least 5+ years as a dedicated Product Owner.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in:

- Product Backlog Management
- User Story creation & Acceptance Criteria
- Sprint Planning & Agile Ceremonies
- Stakeholder Management
- SAFe / Scrum Frameworks
- Jira & Confluence

Retail domain experience is Mandate, especially in Merchandising, Store Allocation, Replenishment, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, or POS systems.

Candidates should be able to provide real examples of identifying business problems, defining product solutions, prioritizing requirements, and driving business outcomes through product decisions.
