Groupe SM Tardif, an innovative company active in construction and manufacturing for more than 45 years, is seeking a Production Planner for its subsidiary, Tardif Métal.
Profile sought
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in Production Management, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field, or you possess equivalent experience.
- You have between two (2) and five (5) years of experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment.
- You have a robust understanding of industrial planning principles.
- You are comfortable using specialized software platforms (AIS-FMS, IMS-PMS, PLM-MES, and PDC) as well as Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
- You possess excellent operational awareness and strong organizational skills.
- You are able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, work effectively under pressure, and adapt quickly to change.
- You demonstrate initiative, collaboration, and a strong solution-oriented mindset.
- You are motivated by continuous improvement and problem-solving.
Roles and responsabilities
- You will contribute to the optimization of information flows and various system migration, integration, and enhancement projects, including Maestro, Inca/Mobilis, Steelproject, Atlas, and Traceability systems.
- You will develop weekly and monthly production plans based on business priorities, the order backlog, customer schedules, and actual plant capacity.
- You will maintain the production schedule and coordinate required adjustments when priorities, capacity, or timelines change.
- You will analyze short-, medium-, and long-term production capacity to identify risks of overloading or underutilization.
- You will ensure coordination between production teams, project managers, production engineering, and drafting teams.
- You will monitor project progress in production, identify variances, and propose solutions or recovery plans.
