Responsibilities

Operations Management

- Coordinate the plant’s daily operations and translate the production plan into transparent, actionable priorities
- Adjust operations in response to unforeseen events, absences, equipment breakdowns, or changing priorities
- Ensure effective communication of operational priorities and issues

Leadership and Team Management

- Supervise, support, and develop Team Leaders
- Ensure effective workforce allocation based on production needs
- Lead daily meetings with Team Leaders
- Address performance, attendance, or conduct-related issues in collaboration with Human Resources

Production and Performance Monitoring

- Prepare production orders and ensure production data is entered and validated
- Maintain up-to-date production and loss reports
- Monitor performance indicators, analyze variances, and implement the necessary corrective actions
- Promptly communicate significant issues to the Production Manager

Occupational Health and Safety

- Act as a leader in occupational health and safety
- Ensure compliance with safety rules and safe work practices
- Conduct regular floor inspections and intervene promptly when hazardous situations are identified
- Participate in incident and near-miss investigations and follow-up

Quality and Food Safety

- Ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices, as well as hygiene and sanitation procedures




- Ensure compliance with quality, allergen, and traceability requirements
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team when deviations or non-conformities occur

Maintenance and Continuous Improvement

- Coordinate operational priorities with the Maintenance team and Technical Director
- Follow up on recurring issues and contribute to the safe restart of equipment after maintenance work
- Identify sources of waste and inefficiency and engage teams in finding solutions
- Ensure implemented improvements are sustained over time

What We’re Looking For

- Minimum of three years of relevant experience in team supervision or operations management in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working in an environment with automated production equipment or systems
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-changing environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and results-monitoring skills
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Comfortable using computer tools and production monitoring systems

Assets

- Experience in the food processing industry
- Workplace first aid certification
- Functional knowledge of English or Spanish
