Tristar
Airport is looking for a Project Manager who will be responsible for leading construction and infrastructure projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring safe, efficient, and profitable project delivery. Working closely with operations, estimating, and senior leadership teams, this role drives project execution, commercial performance, and client satisfaction across projects throughout Canada. Collaborate with Senior Management, Operations, and Estimating teams to prepare construction estimates, proposals, and tender submissions Lead projects from initiation to completion, establishing schedules, critical milestones, and execution plans Manage project budgets, forecasts, commercial performance, and overall project profitability Resolve project-related issues and disputes, escalating matters as required Lead contract negotiations, contract administration, and dispute resolution activities Conduct regular project scheduling and progress meetings with project teams Establish production targets, monitor performance, and implement corrective actions to achieve project objectives Ensure project controls are effectively maintained, including scheduling, subcontractor management, cost forecasting, change management, document control, labour tracking, KPI reporting, equipment tracking, accruals, invoicing, and purchase orders Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, field staff, clients,
and stakeholders Work closely with Senior Management to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards Manage team performance, accountability, and project deliverables Adapt to changing project requirements and proactively remove barriers to success Travel and work from project sites across Canada as required Minimum 2+ years of experience in a Project Manager or related project delivery role Proven experience managing construction, utility, power, civil, electrical, or infrastructure projects Post‑secondary education in Construction Project Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology (CET), Construction Management, or a related discipline; Utility, power, transmission, distribution, or EPC project experience is considered a strong asset Experience with estimating, proposals, and tender submissions is an asset Strong understanding of project controls, budgeting, forecasting, contract administration, scheduling, and risk management Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents Proven leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills Ability to effectively resolve project issues and disputes with minimal supervision Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project; Primavera P6 is considered an asset Willingness and ability to travel and work from project sites across Canada as required, including rotational and site‑based assignments Other considerations may include certifications, specialized training, and the complexity or scope of the role.
