Our client is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to support the procurement and inventory functions within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, maintaining supplier relationships, and supporting production requirements through effective purchasing and inventory coordination. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative approach.

Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

- Coordinate the procurement of ingredients, packaging, supplies, equipment, and services
- Create, maintain, and monitor purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Work closely with suppliers to confirm pricing, quantities, lead times, and delivery schedules
- Communicate material shortages, delays, and supply issues to key stakeholders
- Maintain accurate purchasing records within ERP and inventory management systems
- Support supplier performance management and assist with supplier onboarding activities




- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate purchasing activities to support production requirements
- Identify potential supply risks and implement proactive solutions to prevent disruptions
- Support inventory optimization initiatives and material planning efforts

Your strengths include:

- 2+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory, or supply chain roles
- Experience within food manufacturing or a similar manufacturing environment considered an asset
- Experience working with ERP or inventory management systems
- Strong understanding of purchasing, inventory control, and material planning principles
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and supplier relationship management abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and related business systems
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced workplace and work collaboratively across departments
