Reports to the Manager or designate. Plans and provides direct nursing care to clients/patients in the Oceanside Health Centre s Urgent Care and Medical Day Care or Chemainus Community Health Centre,
Urgent Care in accordance with the unit/program philosophy, competency guidelines, policies, and the BC College of Nurses and Midwives Standards for Nursing Practice.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training And Experience
Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
Clinical knowledge and skills related to Emergency Department, Urgent Care, Medical Day Care programs. Two (2) years' recent related experience in emergency, urgent care or medical day care clinical areas.
Skills And Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated ability to organize assigned workload and set priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with a variety of internal and external contacts, including co-workers, physicians, community agency representatives, patients, residents and families.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
