You encompass Oak Valley Health's core values and live the words of respect, trust, commitment, compassion and courage As a registered practical nurse you will become an integral member of the interprofessional team responsible for the comprehensive care of medical patients. You will practice in an environment where the emphasis is on professional practice and customer satisfaction.Using your clinical expertise, in collaboration with the interprofessional team, you will be responsible for comprehensive assessment, care planning, patient education and discharge planning to support the continuity of care throughout the patient's stay on Acute Medicine Unit. You will play a critical role in the coordination and development of interprofessional plans of care, which reflect patient needs.
In addition, you will utilize your demonstrated clinical leadership skills, well developed analytical, problem solving, delegation and interpersonal skills to assist you in the provision of quality patient care.
Current
Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses Completion of an Oncology Foundation Course Recent experience in a Inpatient Medical environment Recent experience in oncology preferred Proficient computer skills Demonstrated commitment to a patient/family centred care environment Demonstrated good attendance and performance records with the ability to maintain these same standards by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with organization related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required The successful candidate will work 12 hour shifts (0730-1930 and 1930-0730) weekday, weekend and holidays.Oak Valley Health is one of Ontario's leading community health care organizations and include Markham Stouffville Hospital, Uxbridge Hospital, and our Reactivation Care Centre.
