Nanowave Technologies Inc. is looking for a RF Technologist with strong hands-on laboratory RF prototype development, characterization and testing skills.

Responsibilities:

· Prototype hardware development:

Assembly of electronic circuits using soldering; test of RF circuits and frequency sources; power supplies and computer control interfaces.

· Testing and Measurement:

Configuration of RF test benches, collection of laboratory measurements, first-article testing, design tuning, and production test.

Use and calibration of standard RF test equipment: Spectrum Analyzer, Network Analyzer, Phase noise test set, Power meter, Oscilloscope.

Maintenance of orderly laboratory setting.

Management of laboratory equipment calibration.

· Collaboration:

Ability to work seamlessly with a group of diverse and highly skilled engineering and production colleagues including mechanical /software/monitor& control/EPC/ thermal/thin film/etc. Documentation:

Maintain detailed documentation of prototype configurations and tests.

Qualifications:

- Minimum: Completion of a two or three-year college program in electrical or electronics engineering technology, computer engineering technology, telecommunications technology or an equivalent. 5 years industry experience in the role of RF or Microwave Technologist
- Preferred: Certification in electrical or electronics engineering technology or in a related field is available through provincial associations of engineering/applied science technologists and technicians.



10 year’s industry experience in the role of RF or Microwave Technologist with experience specific to frequency synthesizers, phase locked loops and signal sources.
- Experience working within the Controlled Goods Program (CGP) environment is considered an asset.
- Must be able to obtain CGP registration.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada on an ongoing basis without employer sponsorship.
