Our challenge
We are looking for a Scrum Master who will coach Agile teams, facilitate Scrum ceremonies, and promote continuous improvement, collaboration, accountability, and self-organization. This role will support effective product and backlog planning, Agile delivery, CI/CD practices, automated testing, deployment, and observability. The ideal candidate can leverage AI tools to enhance Scrum Master activities while preserving human judgment, creativity, collaboration, and decision-making.
The Role: Scrum Master
Responsibilities
- Coach teams on Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, accountability, self-organization, and continuous improvement.
- Plan and facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog planning, daily stand-ups, product demonstrations, and retrospectives.
- Guide teams in aligning their work with Product Owner priorities, product goals, and backlog requirements.
- Foster collaboration and effective communication across Agile teams, Product Owners, stakeholders, and delivery partners.
- Support the adoption and continuous improvement of software development processes, best practices, standards, tools, and policies.
- Help teams integrate CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, deployment practices, and observability into Agile delivery.
- Use AI tools to improve meeting preparation, documentation, reporting, backlog analysis, communication, and delivery support without replacing human decision-making.
Requirements:
- Active Certified Scrum Master certification.
- At least three years of experience leading and facilitating Agile ceremonies, including planning sessions, stand-ups, product demonstrations, and retrospectives.
- At least three years of experience working in an Agile software development environment.
- At least two years of experience coaching teams on Agile methodologies and fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
- At least five years of experience delivering training through web-based interactive technologies such as Microsoft Teams.
- At least five years of experience planning work in alignment with Product Owner priorities, including sprint and backlog planning.
- At least six years of experience with software development processes and associated best practices, methods, standards, tools, and policies.
Preferred, but not required:
- Experience working in North American public-sector environments at the municipal, provincial, or federal level.
- Experience working with teams that use UX design, service design, design thinking, or human-centered design approaches.
- Experience integrating AI into Agile team practices and using AI tools to enhance Scrum Master responsibilities.
