Position: Seasonal Full-time/Part-time Retail Sales Associate

Start Date: late September

Where: 77 Brock Ave, Toronto, ON (Parkdale Location)

Hours: Part time 1-3 days

Full time 4- 5 days

Duties:

- Customer Experience/Sales: Welcoming customers, guiding them through product and menu selections (including special requests or modifications), and accurately processing cash and card transaction on the POS system
- Beverages/Food Service: Preparing and serving a variety of drinks to standard recipes while maintaining strict adherence to health and safety regulations
- Packaging/Confection Handling: Accurately handling and packaging a wide variety of artisanal chocolates and confections following SOMA guidelines
- Store Upkeep/Inventory: Keeping the retail floor, packing stations, espresso bar, dining areas, and restroom clean and organized; assisting with stock replenishment of products and cafe materials
- Operational Efficiency: Managing multiple tasks with a strong sense of urgency to ensure smooth, efficient service during peak periods




- At all times follow all health and safety regulations to ensure proper food handling

Qualifications:

- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Strong English skills
- Strong multitasking, time management, and organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Physical ability to lift up to 20kg and comfortably perform repetitive handling tasks
- Calm, composed demeanor and positive attitude under pressure
- Receptive to feedback, adaptable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Barista or specialty food retail experience an asset
