The Sales Associate is responsible for providing prompt, courteous and efficient service to customers. Advise customers on appropriate merchandise and related items; processing transactions (cash, credit card, debit card) using retail software; ticketing and replenishing merchandise, cycle counting; general housekeeping of shelves, loss prevention, merchandising, restocking, and staying current with trends in the industry.

The successful candidate will have:

- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends
- Perform all required cash register transactions efficiently and accurately
- Thrives in a fast-paced setting and can balance multiple customers, tasks and duties
- Support the marketing of products in its department such as: display of merchandise, visual presentation and labelling
- Develop a basic knowledge of all the departments in the store

- Prior retail experience is an asset.

Requirement: · 1+ year retail background in the construction industry (e.g. construction companies or big-box construction retail stores) preferred

· The ability to speak multiple languages will be considered a strong asset.
