Rate of Pay: $33.902 - $34.535 per hour

We need a Security Guard to join our Security team! You want to be part of our Security team because we help create a safe and welcoming environment for everyone who enters the hospital and play an important role in supporting quality patient care. In this role, you will get to respond to a variety of situations, use your communication and de-escalation skills to assist patients and visitors, and stay active while supporting different areas throughout the hospital, and much more!

As The Successful Applicant, You Will Do The Following

- Ensure safety of patients, staff, volunteers, physicians, and visitors
- Ensure protection of hospital possessions and property
- Performs routine checks of systems and equipment
- Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

Required

- Graduate of a recognized Law and Security program, or an equivalent combination of education and experience




- Possess and maintain a valid Ontario Security Guard License

Preferred

- Three (3) years’ experience in a security role in a healthcare setting

- Non-violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) or equivalent
- Incident Management System (IMS) Certification
