Senior Accountant- Growth To Controller (Hybrid)

Our client is seeking a driven Senior Accountant to join their team. Primarily focused on project accounting, cost analysis, and month-end reporting, the role plays a key part in supporting financial operations and project performance.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting skilled with experience in construction or project-based environments who enjoys partnering with operational leaders and is naturally curious about the processes and drivers behind financial results.

Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

- Prepare month-end journal entries and account reconciliations

- Maintain accurate balance sheet schedules and supporting working papers

- Manage project setup and project cost tracking

- Perform project costing, cost reporting, and variance analysis

- Complete monthly inventory costing and inventory reconciliations

- Reconcile accounts receivable and monitor collections activity

- Perform accounts payable, credit card,



and GST reconciliations

- Maintain the fixed asset register and calculate monthly depreciation

- Partner with operations and project teams to support informed business decisions

- Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased reporting efficiencies

Your strengths include:

- 3-6 years of progressive accounting experience with exposure to month-end close activities

- Previous experience within a manufacturing, construction, or project-based environment is preferred

- Experience with project accounting, job costing, and inventory is an asset

- CPA designation or CPA-in-Progress is considered an asset but not required

- Strong ERP and Excel skills with the ability to manage large volumes of financial data

- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy
- An approachable, team-oriented attitude and excellent communication skills to work effectively across all areas of the business
- A proactive mindset with a desire to grow into future leadership opportunities within the finance function
