- Act as a preferred strategic partner representing the property and casualty insurance sector within the second line of defence
- Monitor, analyze, and track property and casualty insurance sector risks, including their evolution, potential impacts, and mitigation effectiveness
- Develop and maintain understanding of emerging issues, industry trends, vulnerabilities, and sector-specific risks
- Conduct objective and independent reviews of large‑scale projects, programs, and initiatives
- Formulate recommendations to promote sound and prudent risk management
- Maintain ongoing business dialogue with property and casualty insurance collaborators to support proactive risk management
- Ensure the quality, consistency, and business value of second‑line‑of‑defence deliverables
- Maintain an integrated vision of sector risks, diagnose priority issues, and prioritize activities
- Serve as an expert reference for assigning, coordinating, and guiding files
- Contribute to team member development through knowledge transfer and feedback
- Represent risk management in committees, bodies, and strategic projects
- Assist in updating operational risk management practices, processes, tools, and methodologies

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, business administration, finance, accounting, risk management or any other relevant field
- A minimum of eight years of relevant experience, including significant experience in the property and casualty insurance sector

- Experience steering complex files
- Experience in operational risk management,



including knowledge of risk management methodologies, frameworks and tools
- Advanced proficiency in written and spoken French
- Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English‑speaking partners, members and/or clients
- Demonstrated expertise in property and casualty insurance, including an in‑depth understanding of products, processes and operational issues
- Expertise in performing analyses, writing and giving presentations at the executive level
- Knowledge of a financial institution's business activities and operations
