$130,000 Senior Buyer – Manufacturing - LaSalle, QC (Hybrid: Onsite 3x/Week)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join an established manufacturing organization in LaSalle. This hands-on role will lead complex purchasing activities, strengthen procurement processes, manage critical suppliers, and oversee a small team of two Buyers. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in an evolving, less structured environment.

Requirements

- 7+ years of relevant procurement/purchasing experience
- Fluent English
- Manufacturing experience
- Solid self-starter who is comfortable working in an unstructured environment and building and integrating processes
- Experience with supplier management, purchasing execution, inventory, ERP transactions, and supply chain issue resolution.
- Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and MS Excel
- Leadership ability and a genuine interest in managing a small team of two Buyers

Key Responsibilities





- Manage complex purchasing activities, suppliers, purchase orders, inventory requirements, and delivery commitments
- Monitor demand, forecasts, inventory, supplier capacity, lead times, and production requirements
- Lead supplier follow-up, shortage recovery, delivery issue resolution, and escalation of critical supply risks
- Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier information within the ERP system
- Identify gaps and independently develop or improve procurement processes, workflows, reporting, and standard operating practices
- Collaborate closely with production, operations, planning, inventory, finance, and other internal stakeholders
- Resolve purchasing, receiving, pricing, invoice, and supplier-related issues
- Lead, mentor, and support a small team of two Buyers
