We are seeking an experienced Senior Credit Risk Advisor to manage credit risk exposure, perform financial and portfolio analysis, and support commercial decision-making for a global industrial business.

Location: Montreal (Hybrid – minimum 3 days/week in office)

Contract: Initial 3-month contract with potential extension into 2027

Language: Solid English required; French preferred

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct credit assessments, financial analysis, and credit limit recommendations for new and existing customers.
- Manage an assigned portfolio, including credit reviews, exposure monitoring, onboarding, and credit-related risk events.
- Partner with commercial teams to develop risk-mitigated credit solutions that support business growth.
- Monitor portfolio performance, identify emerging risks, and provide timely credit risk reporting.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, insurers, brokers, legal, and finance teams on credit risk strategies.




- Drive process improvements, reporting enhancements, and credit risk system initiatives.

Required Experience:

- 5+ years of Credit Risk, Credit Analysis, or Financial Analysis experience.
- Proven experience managing credit risk for an industrial, manufacturing, commodity trading, metals & mining, energy, or similar commercial environment.
- Strong financial statement analysis and portfolio management skills.
- Knowledge of trade finance instruments, credit insurance, guarantees, and risk mitigation techniques.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with SAP and/or S&P; Capital IQ.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have:

- MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent qualification.
- Power BI and/or Python experience.
- Bilingual English/French.
