From guide dogs and technology training to employment support, recreation, education, and community connection, CNIB empowers people to live, learn, work, and play without limits.

As a senior leader within CNIB’s Marketing team, the Senior Director, Donor Growth and Engagement leads national donor growth and engagement strategies that drive acquisition, retention, stewardship and sustainable revenue growth. The role carries strategic leadership and financial accountability for a key revenue generating portfolio, using performance insights, donor data and market trends to maximize opportunities across the donor lifecycle.

This is an opportunity to take CNIB’s individual fundraising to the next level and attract a current generation and mix of constituencies to support the cause. This will include increasing digital outreach and modernizing approaches to the market. We are therefore seeking someone who loves to experiment and to utilize data and information for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute CNIB’s national donor growth strategy across the donor lifecycle, including acquisition, stewardship, retention, reactivation and upgrading.
- Establish annual and multi-year donor revenue plans, performance targets and growth priorities.




- Drive a multi-channel marketing approach, including face-to-face fundraising, digital, direct mail, SMS and email, to maximize ROI and long-term donor value.
- Build trusted, impactful relationships with cross-functional internal colleagues and senior leaders, and external partners, vendors, and agencies to ensure donor communication is disseminated with full alignment with CNIB’s brand and mission.
- Lead, coach and build high-performing teams across monthly giving, one-time giving, gift management, donor insights, donor care and prospect research.
- Advance donor data, segmentation and performance insight practices to strengthen campaign performance and fundraising outcomes.
- Establish KPIs, dashboards and reporting practices to monitor revenue, retention, acquisition cost and campaign ROI.
- Lead budget planning, forecasting and resource allocation for the donor growth and engagement portfolio.

Ideal candidate:

- Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in fundraising, donor engagement, revenue marketing, customer growth, loyalty or client lifecycle management.
- 5+ years managing teams, including direct leadership of managers and development of high-performing functions.
- Track record of growing donor, customer or client revenue through acquisition, retention, stewardship, loyalty, segmentation and campaign optimization.
- Experience building, growing and optimizing recurring revenue streams, including monthly giving, subscription, membership or loyalty programs.
- Experience with CRM systems, donor databases, marketing automation tools, analytics platforms and fundraising operations.
