Our client is a multi-billion dollar retailer with a national footprint and a publicly traded finance function. This Senior Financial Analyst role is a step up in ownership and scope, built for someone ready to move beyond execution into higher-responsibility financial reporting and analysis.

You'll work directly with the Controller as their right hand, taking on external reporting, variance analysis, and financial statement preparation within a large, complex reporting environment. It's a genuine growth seat: more ownership, more exposure to technical accounting judgment, and a credible path toward a Manager-level role over time.

Key Responsibilities

- Own preparation of journal entries, reconciliations, and specific P&L;/balance sheet accounts through month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
- Contribute to financial statement preparation (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) and consolidations under IFRS
- Conduct variance analysis and prepare commentary for the Controller's review
- Support external audit and regulatory filing requirements
- Partner directly with the Controller on GL review and management reporting





What You Bring

- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience (public accounting or industry)
- CPA designation preferred; candidates near completion will be consideredHands-on experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
- Working knowledge of IFRS
- Robust communicator, comfortable presenting analysis to senior stakeholders
- Comfortable working full-time, five days a week on-site

Nice to Have

- Consolidations experience, including intercompany eliminations
- Exposure to MD&A; disclosures and regulatory filing working papers
- Public accounting background (Big Four or similar) with large or complex clients
