Objective Financial Partners
Canada
Objective Financial Partners (https://objectivefinancialpartners.com/) is looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial operator who can take important projects from idea to completion and help us grow our group of companies.
This is a full-time remote position available to candidates anywhere in Canada.
About Objective
Objective Financial Partners is one of Canada’s largest advice-only financial planning firms. Our related companies provide tax and accounting services, financial planning in Québec, and technology and education for consumers and financial professionals.
We have over 30 team members working remotely across Canada. As our companies continue to grow, we need someone who can lead important projects, improve how we operate, and give our senior leaders more time to focus on their core responsibilities.
About the Role
You will be responsible for projects involving different teams and parts of the business.
This role is for someone who enjoys taking ownership and solving different types of business problems. You should be comfortable receiving a loosely defined priority, determining what needs to be done, and following it through to completion.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include
- Leading significant projects involving multiple teams or business areas
- Turning leadership priorities into clear plans, responsibilities, and timelines
- Following up with project owners and managers to keep work moving
- Evaluating and helping implement growth opportunities
- Identifying and helping launch partnerships, referral relationships, and new services
- Working with our Communications Manager on websites, content, lead generation, and new service launches
- Leading process improvement projects
- Helping implement technology, automation, and practical uses of artificial intelligence
- Supporting hiring,
onboarding, performance management, and other people processes
- Preparing business cases, conducting research, and assessing the results of new initiatives
The position will support our existing leaders without taking over the day-to-day management of operations, communications, financial planning, or tax. In your first year, success will mean completing several high-priority initiatives and creating measurable gains in efficiency, capacity, and growth.
Qualifications
Suitable candidates may have worked in senior operations, program or project management, management consulting, professional services, business transformation, marketing operations, or a similar role.
We are less concerned about a particular industry background than evidence that you have led people, coordinated complex projects, and personally implemented meaningful business improvements.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Approximately 10 or more years of relevant experience
- Experience leading projects involving multiple teams and stakeholders
- Experience managing people and helping other managers improve performance and accountability
- Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills
- Experience preparing business cases, working with budgets, and assessing financial results
- A practical understanding of marketing, business development, and lead conversion
- The ability to influence people without relying solely on job title or authority
- Sound judgment and the ability to handle sensitive matters discreetly
- Experience working independently in an entrepreneurial workplace
- An interest in technology, automation, and the practical use of AI
Experience in financial services, accounting, or another professional services environment would be helpful but is not required. French-language skills would be an asset.
The Right Person
You are likely to succeed in this role if you:
- Take ownership and follow through
- Are comfortable when a problem does not have an obvious solution
- Can see the bigger picture while still working through the details
- Bring structure without making things unnecessarily complicated
- Understand how decisions affect revenue, costs, employees, and clients
- Can manage several projects while knowing which ones matter most
- Enjoy working with professionals from different backgrounds
- Naturally look for problems to solve and opportunities to improve the business
Compensation The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $140,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
Why Join Objective?
You will work closely with the leadership team of a growing Canadian professional services business and be trusted with projects that matter.
The role provides the opportunity to work across several businesses and help shape how they operate and grow. For the right person, it may develop into broader leadership responsibilities over time.
How to Apply
Please submit your resume and a short cover letter explaining your interest in the position.
Please also describe one business initiative you personally led from idea to implementation, the obstacles you encountered, and the results you achieved.
