As a Strategic Risk Advisor, you will support business sectors in identifying, analysing and monitoring strategic, cross-functional and emerging risks to help inform sound decision-making. Contribute to the identification, assessment, monitoring and tracking of strategic, cross-functional and emerging risks
- Conduct risk analyses and provide advisory support in assessing projects, initiatives and strategic matters
- Contribute to the preparation of reports, presentations and other documents intended for senior management and various committees
- Support and raise awareness among partners regarding the application of risk management methodologies, tools and standards
- Contribute to collecting, consolidating and analysing data to provide an integrated view of risks
- Research and analyse emerging trends that may influence the business environment and the organisation’s risk profile
- Collaborate with other risk management teams to ensure a consistent and harmonised approach
- Participate in facilitating workshops, working sessions and training activities, as required
- Participate in various projects or assignments requiring risk management expertise
- Holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or another relevant field
- Has two to five years of experience in risk management, auditing, strategic planning, project management or a related field
- Demonstrates a strong interest in strategic issues and organisational risk management, as well as strong analytical and synthesis skills
- Stands out for their written and verbal communication skills and ability to prepare executive-level presentations
- Has knowledge of the financial services or insurance industry, an asset
- Is familiar with risk management principles, project management methodologies or LEAN approaches, an asset
- Advanced proficiency in English and French is required, as the person in this role will communicate daily with English-speaking and French-speaking clients and partners across Canada through emails and phone calls.
