Java Technical Business Analyst – Risk

Job Overview

We are looking for a Java Technical Business Analyst with strong Capital Markets and Risk experience. The ideal candidate must have both hands-on Java development experience and solid Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst experience.

The role will support risk-platform enhancements, risk reporting, data integration, and onboarding of multiple risk data sources while working closely with Risk Managers, trading/risk teams, developers, and technology stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Gather and document business and technical requirements for risk platforms, risk reporting, and data integration.
- Work with Risk Managers, trading desks, business stakeholders, and development teams.
- Analyze existing risk data sources, business rules, calculations, reporting logic, and system/data flows.
- Translate requirements into:
- Functional and technical specifications
- Source-to-target data mappings
- Business rules and transformation logic
- Validation scenarios
- Development tasks
- Support onboarding and integration of new risk data sources.
- Perform data analysis and reconciliation using SQL.
- Support configuration and parameter validation in lower environments.
- Define and execute SIT/UAT test scenarios.
- Investigate defects, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate fixes with business and development teams.
- Validate data completeness, risk calculations, and reporting consistency.

Mandatory Skills
- Solid hands-on Java development experience.
- Strong experience with Java / Spring / Spring Boot.
- Strong SQL and data-analysis skills.




- Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst experience.
- Strong Capital Markets / Trading / Banking experience.
- Experience working with Market Risk, Credit Risk, risk reporting, or risk-data platforms.
- Requirements gathering and functional/technical specifications.
- Strong experience with data mapping, source-to-target mapping, and system integration.
- SIT/UAT, defect management, and business validation experience.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills.
