Our client is seeking an experienced contract based ServiceNow Developer to support the completion of a major enterprise ServiceNow implementation. The project is replacing an existing SharePoint Online site with ServiceNow Employee Center Pro .
Much of the foundational implementation has been completed. The successful consultant will join an established project team to complete the remaining development, configuration, migration, and integration activities, with a particular focus on integrating ServiceNow with SharePoint Online for document management and content access .
Location: Ottawa - hybrid
Contract: 6 months to start
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, and enhance solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
- Support the implementation and enhancement of ServiceNow Employee Center Pro .
- Design and develop integrations between ServiceNow and SharePoint Online to support document management and content access.
- Build and configure applications using ServiceNow App Engine Studio (AES) .
- Leverage ServiceNow Integration Hub to develop and maintain integrations and automated workflows.
- Configure ServiceNow tables, forms, ACLs, workflows, and Flow Designer components.
- Support and automate data migration activities.
- Contribute to Knowledge Management, taxonomy design, and content governance.
- Develop, test, demonstrate, and deliver solution features through Agile sprints.
- Rapidly develop prototypes and proofs of concept to validate solution approaches.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and integration issues.
- Configure and maintain CI/CD processes to support reliable deployments.
- Prepare release notes, deployment documentation,
and technical documentation for implemented features.
- Collaborate with architects, technical leads, business stakeholders, and other project team members.
- Ensure solutions align with established enterprise architecture, security, accessibility, and development standards.
Requirements
- 7+ years of skilled ServiceNow development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow Employee Center / Employee Center Pro .
- Strong experience with ServiceNow Integration Hub .
- Advanced proficiency with ServiceNow App Engine Studio (AES) and low-code application development.
- Strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform, including tables, forms, ACLs, and Flow Designer .
- Experience with Knowledge Management, taxonomy design, and content governance .
- Working knowledge of SharePoint Online and familiarity with its document and content management capabilities.
- Ability to work within Agile delivery teams and deliver features through iterative sprints.
- Demonstrated ability to rapidly prototype and translate requirements into working solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting, collaboration, communication, and technical documentation skills.
Nice to Have
- ServiceNow development experience integrating with SharePoint APIs, search, or document management capabilities .
- Advanced scripting experience using ServiceNow Studio .
- Experience with Service Portal widgets, Next Experience, and UI Builder .
- Experience with Performance Analytics .
- Strong understanding of UX and accessibility standards.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or App Engine Specialist certification.
- Experience implementing or maintaining Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines .
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French .
