The Shelter Resource
Worker (SRW) plays a vital role in aiding homeless adults at Crawford Manor. Working on a casual basis, you will assist with intakes, provide supervision, and facilitate connections to community resources. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to handle challenging situations effectively. Key Responsibilities:
- Support and supervise homeless adults experiencing multiple barriers
- Assist with referrals and connect guests to community services
- Conduct interviews and provide basic necessities
- Maintain records and collect statistical data
- Ensure a safe and supportive shelter setting Requirements:
- Related Certificate or minimum Grade 12 education
- Two years of recent related experience preferred
- Current Occupational First Aid Level 1 Certificate
- Crisis Intervention Skills and Trauma-Informed Practice training are assets
- Criminal Record Clearance – Vulnerable Sector required Utilize your skills in a meaningful role that directly impacts lives in the community.
