Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Shift Supervisor to lead our retail team through busy shifts, ensuring smooth operations, excellent customer service, and effective team management. As a key leader on the floor, you will oversee daily store activities, manage staff performance, and uphold company standards. Responsibilities

- Supervise daily store operations during assigned shifts, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
- Lead and motivate team members by providing clear direction, coaching, and support to achieve sales goals and exceptional customer service.
- Manage cash handling procedures, POS (Point of Sale) systems, and cashiering activities with precision and integrity.
- Oversee merchandising efforts, including pricing strategies, product placement, and inventory replenishment to maximize sales potential.
- Coordinate recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing candidates and assisting with onboarding new employees.
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure a positive shopping experience for all visitors.
- Monitor store safety protocols, conduct routine inspections, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and maintaining organizational records.




- Support marketing initiatives by promoting sales campaigns and special promotions to boost store traffic.
- Foster a collaborative team setting by providing training & development opportunities focused on sales techniques, product knowledge, and leadership skills.

Requirements

- Proven supervising experience in retail or related customer service environments.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively across multiple functions.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for engaging diverse customers.
- Demonstrated proficiency in POS systems, cash handling, merchandising, and pricing strategies.
- Experience in recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff members.
- Knowledge of payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently through excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Customer service orientation with phone etiquette expertise and a friendly demeanor.
- Basic math skills for sales calculations, inventory management, and financial recordkeeping.
- Familiarity with marketing techniques and promotional activities within retail settings is desirable.
