Solutions Designer

Description

Assignment Type: Onsite, 7.25 hours per day (8:00–5:00 PM, excluding lunch), Monday–Friday at OPS office. Extension Policy: Extensions only allowed within unused contract days/funds; no additional funds beyond original SOW.

Responsibilities

- Provide advice on testing strategy, test plans, tools, and resources.
- Plan and organize testing for GUI/non-GUI systems, including integration, specialized, and UAT (e.g., stress tests).
- Develop test plans, scripts, and cases; execute against components. Collaborate with IT leads and project teams.
- Execute functional, integration, system, and regression tests; validate system behavior under varied conditions.
- Identify, document, and track defects using Azure DevOps; work with developers to resolve issues.
- Develop/maintain automated test scripts (UFT, Selenium, TestComplete, Postman); integrate into CI/CD pipelines.
- Conduct performance, stress, and load testing for scalability.
- Ensure compliance with AODA standards.
- Collaborate with developers, BAs, PMs to clarify requirements and ensure quality.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).
- Maintain documentation of test results, coverage, and metrics; contribute to user manuals and release notes.
- Ensure testing processes comply with industry standards and regulations.

General Skills

- Experience with CASE tools, data query tools, automated test tools, version control.

- Conduct basic security testing; collaborate with specialists for penetration testing.
- Develop/manage test data strategies ensuring privacy.
- Performance testing with JMeter/LoadRunner; analyze bottlenecks/scalability.

- Expertise as technical design specialist for large-scale, high-risk solutions.
- Cloud technologies: containerization, orchestration, microservices.
- Lead teams in defining/designing application, hardware, and network requirements.
- Knowledge of healthcare data exchange standards (FHIR).
- Oversee solution design, testing, installation, monitoring.
- Languages: JavaScript ES6 , Spring, Quarkus, Angular 9 , Angular Material, TypeScript, Node.JS, HTML5, CSS3.
- CI/CD automation; Agile development with VSTS/Azure DevOps.
- Provide technical leadership, performance tuning, and improvement recommendations.
- Translate business requirements into application design.
- Apply best practices in design, build,



deployment per GO-ITS standards.
- Collaborate with architects for consistent models; produce detailed design artifacts.
- Work with infrastructure/ops teams for deployment; ensure security/privacy compliance.
- Collaborate with architecture team to create artifacts.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Visio, SharePoint.
