Make a difference in the lives of students at Glenelg Primary School as a Special Education Teacher. This part time role focuses on supporting children with ASD3 and communication needs.
Glenelg Primary
School is seeking a dedicated teacher for a 0.6 position. You will work closely with three reception students who have significant needs, engaging with them through the EYLF and Ables curriculum. Collaboration with SSOs and effective parent communication is key to fostering an inclusive environment while promoting each child's individual growth. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging learning experiences for students
- Collaborate with SSOs to facilitate inclusion in mainstream settings
- Communicate effectively with families about student progress
- Supervise students during playtime to ensure safety
- Adapt teaching methods to address non-verbal communication needs Requirements:
- Experience working with children with disabilities
- Knowledge of EYLF and Ables curriculum
- Articulate English for phonemic awareness
