Amazon is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Manager on the outbound (OB) transportation planning team. This role will lead short-term planning and our high-volume event (HVE) planning for Canada (Amazon.ca). This is a highly visible role, who engages with multiple partner teams and provides transportation volume plans and recommendations up to the VP level.

Key job responsibilities

-Lead the weekly planning process including input gathering, modeling, and communication of plans to downstream teams

-Engage with demand planning to understand and align on topline demand and confidence intervals

-Partner with Middle and Last mile leads to understand changes in each component of the transportation plans

-Connect with external stakeholder teams to evaluate recent trends, or upcoming changes to carrier capacity, coverage, network design, Sort Center capacity, Amazon Air capacity, or Fulfillment Center shipment plans which will impact transportation

-Understand and project the impact of demand and capacity scenarios for HVEs, align on a recommendation, and share with Directors and VPs.

-Leverage AI and automation solutions to improve plan accuracy, reduce plan generation cycle time, or improve the gathering or sharing of data and information

-Drive tool or process improvement, including partnering with tech teams to create new tools or onboard onto existing ones.

A day in the life A typical day begins with looking at recent day performance looking for trends or anomalies which may need further investigation. You will summarize findings and communicate them and action plans to leaders. You will meet with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and from external teams to discuss upcoming plans.

About the team The Transportation Network Planning Team is responsible for creation of volume plans for every package once it is ready to leave a fulfillment center. These plans are consumed by middle and last mile teams to plan labor and capacity. In collaboration with partner networks,



the team builds granular plans covering short (Running 12-Week) and long term (up to 5 Year) time horizon.

The team is also responsible for continuous improvements in the tools and process and improving accuracy, flexibility, and resiliency.

Basic

Qualifications

- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- 5+ years of supply chain experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

The base salary range for this position is listed below. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
