Medtrion is seeking a reliable and mechanically skilled Stairlift Installation & Service Technician to join our growing accessibility equipment team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and maintaining residential stairlifts throughout the GTA and surrounding areas. Experience with stairlifts, accessibility equipment, electrical/mechanical systems, appliance repair, HVAC, or similar technical work is an asset.

We are looking for someone who is hands-on, mechanically inclined, professional with customers, and able to work independently. Training may be provided to the right candidate.

Responsibilities

- Install new stairlift systems accurately and efficiently according to manufacturer specifications and safety standards
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on existing stairlifts to ensure optimal performance
- Diagnose technical issues quickly and implement effective repair solutions to minimize customer downtime
- Conduct safety inspections before and after installations or repairs to guarantee compliance with all safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining system features, answering questions, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain detailed service records, installation logs, and inventory documentation for all work performed




- Collaborate with team members to improve installation processes and share technical insights for continuous improvement

Requirements

- Proven experience in electrical or mechanical installation, repair, or maintenance roles; experience with mobility equipment is a plus
- Strong understanding of electrical wiring, mechanical systems, and safety procedures related to stairlifts or similar devices
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues accurately and efficiently
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; willingness to travel locally for installations and service calls
- Ability to lift heavy equipment safely and work in confined or elevated spaces as needed
- Robust communication skills to explain technical details clearly to customers and team members
- Certifications in electrical work, mechanical repair, or mobility device servicing are preferred but not mandatory

Pay: $75.00-$100.00 per hour
