This is a 12-month Interim Fixed Term ContractHiring Range: $130,000 - $165,000

PURPOSE OF POSITION

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Finance Transformation Lead serves as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on finance modernization, enterprise financial management practices, organizational effectiveness, and transformation initiatives to drive FSRA’s finance transformation agenda. The position provides expert advice, recommendations, and analysis that influence corporate decision-making, financial governance, operating models, and organizational priorities

Partnering closely with Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, and other business partners, the Finance Transformation Lead identifies opportunities to streamline operations, improve financial insights, strengthen controls, and deliver sustainable organizational value through continuous improvement and innovation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Finance Transformation & Modernization

- Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of finance systems, processes, planning capabilities, and reporting frameworks to enhance operational effectiveness, decision support, and overall financial performance.
- Lead and deliver enterprise-wide finance transformation initiatives, that impact financial management practices, business processes, governance structures, service delivery models, and decision-support capabilities across the organization.
- Develop and execute transformation roadmaps aligned with the organization's strategic priorities, financial objectives, and operational needs.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, and optimize finance processes, controls, workflows, and service delivery models.
- Evaluate current-state processes and design future-state solutions that improve effectiveness, efficiency, scalability, and user experience.

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

- Apply Lean Six Sigma, continuous improvement, and business process reengineering methodologies to identify root causes, eliminate inefficiencies, and drive measurable performance improvements.
- Lead process mapping, workflow assessments, and operating model reviews to enhance productivity, accountability, and service quality.
- Establish performance measures and benefits realization frameworks to support and monitor transformation outcomes and ensure expected results are achieved.

Systems & Technology Enablement

- Lead financial systems implementation and enhancement initiatives, including ERP and Workday-related projects.
- Collaborate with Finance, IT, vendors, and implementation partners to define business requirements and deliver technology solutions that meet financial and operational objectives.
- Oversee solution design, testing,



implementation, training, and post-deployment optimization activities.
- Ensure system enhancements support data integrity, financial controls, reporting requirements, auditability, and regulatory compliance.

Financial Planning & Reporting Transformation

- Lead initiatives that modernize budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, management reporting, and performance measurement processes.
- Enhance the quality, timeliness, transparency, and accessibility of financial information to support strategic and operational decision-making.
- Identify and implement methodologies, tools, and reporting capabilities that improve forecasting accuracy and organizational insight.
- Work with finance teams to address outstanding audit findings

Strategic Management Advisory & Executive Support

- Provide strategic advice and recommendations to the CFO and senior leadership team regarding financial management strategies and stewardship, organizational effectiveness, governance frameworks, transformation priorities, and enterprise modernization initiatives.
- Develop comprehensive business cases, recommendations, and strategic assessments related to systems, processes, and operating model improvements.
- Participate in executive planning and decision-making processes by assessing organizational risks, opportunities, financial implications, and operational impacts of proposed initiatives.
- Advise executives on complex and sensitive matters involving resource allocation, organizational redesign, service delivery models, and implementation of management priorities.
- Analyze highly confidential financial, organizational, workforce, and strategic information related to budgeting, resource allocation, organizational restructuring, transformation initiatives, corporate priorities, and business planning.
- Provide advice and recommendations based on confidential information that could materially impact organizational operations and management decision-making.
- Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations, option papers, briefing materials, recommendations, and project updates for the CFO, senior leadership, and governance committees.

Project Leadership & Change Management

- Lead enterprise-wide change initiatives that implement executive management decisions and strategic priorities from concept through implementation, including planning, requirements gathering, solution design, testing, deployment, adoption, and operational transition.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Lead the development and implementation of enterprise financial management frameworks, governance models, methodologies, standards, and practices.
- Lead stakeholder engagement, communication, and change management activities to support organizational readiness and successful adoption of new ways of working.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, accountability, and collaboration across Finance and business functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related discipline; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Professional accounting designation (CPA)



is considered an asset.

Experience

- Minimum of 10 years of progressively senior experience in finance, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, or related financial leadership roles.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex finance transformation, process optimization, and technology-enabled modernization initiatives.
- Proven experience leading enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementations and financial systems transformation projects; experience with Workday is highly desirable.
- Experience applying project management, change management, Lean Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies within complex organizations.
- Demonstrated success working with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders in complex, regulated, or highly matrixed environments.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Finance & Business Expertise

- In-depth knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, performance measurement, and finance operations.
- Solid understanding of financial controls, governance, risk management, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

Transformation & Project Leadership

- Proven ability to lead large-scale transformation initiatives and manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and workstreams.
- Strong project and program management capabilities, including planning, governance, risk management, and execution.
- Experience developing business cases, implementation strategies, and benefits realization plans.
- Exercise substantial independent judgement in identifying organizational priorities, assessing risks, establishing strategic approaches, and recommending courses of action to executive leadership.

Process Improvement & Analytics

- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
- Expertise in process mapping, root cause analysis, future-state design, workflow optimization, and automation opportunities.
- Ability to leverage data and insights to identify improvement opportunities and support evidence-based decision-making.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

- Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to communicate complex financial, operational, and technical concepts effectively to executive and non-technical audiences.
- Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, with demonstrated success driving alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.

- Strong change management and organizational leadership capabilities.
- Ability to build commitment, manage resistance, and lead successful adoption of new processes, technologies, and operating models.
