Role: Supply Chain Specialist - Vehicle Deployment
Status: Full-time – Temporary (3 Months)
Reporting To: Manager-Service Parts
Department: Supply Chain/Logistics
Location: 30 High Meadow Place (Near HWY400 & Finch)
Hours: Monday to Friday – 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Compensation: $59,564 - $95,302
Scope of Work: The primary responsibility of this position is to contribute and execute the seamless coordination of vehicle onboarding and deployment activities within the stipulated time frame. Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure seamless process development and continuous improvement. Actively check and find the Trucks qualify for the replacement & maintain adequate inventory inside the service trucks/prepare trucks with 5S standard and release the trucks to technicians.
Flexibility Clause: With a minimum of two weeks’ notice, the business may request a change to the employee’s shift if operational needs require it. Any such change will only occur within the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and will not be permanent.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and support the onboarding, configuration,
and deployment activities for new service vehicles to ensure operational readiness.
- Oversee vehicle setup and readiness processes, ensuring all required parts, tools, and equipment are available prior to deployment.
- Review and validate truck inventory profiles, stocking configurations, and equipment requirements to ensure alignment with operational needs.
- Monitor and track vehicle onboarding progress, deployment schedules, and readiness status to ensure timely execution.
- Analyze service vehicle utilization, age, maintenance history, and operational performance data to identify trucks that qualify for replacement.
- Develop and maintain SOPs for vehicle replacement programs, including the rotation of existing and new service trucks based on established qualification criteria.
- Collaborate with Fleet, Operations, Supply Chain, and Distribution teams to ensure seamless coordination of vehicle onboarding and deployment activities and prepare trucks with 5S standard and release the trucks to technicians.
- Coordinate schedules, resources, and cross-functional activities related to new vehicle deployments to minimize operational disruptions.
- Identify, communicate, and escalate issues that may impact vehicle onboarding or deployment timelines, while supporting resolution efforts.
- Support initiatives to eliminate service vehicle onboarding backlogs and improve overall deployment efficiency.
- Manage daily onboarding requirements while maintaining service level expectations and ensuring continuity of field service operations.
- Monitor work completion against established performance targets and provide status updates on onboarding and deployment activities.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the service vehicle onboarding, deployment, and replacement processes and support the implementation of corrective actions.
Requirements:
- 3 – 5 years of Supply Chain experience in a fast-paced, warehousing, logistics, transportations setting
- Advanced problem-solving skills
- Must be able to work independently and without supervision.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Self-starter and independent performer
- Water Heater and/or HVAC service parts knowledge is an asset.
- High computer proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint) is a must.
- High degree of integrity, business ethics and accountability
- Need to travel and work in other offices on requirements.
