Lead the charge for sustainable municipal utilities with the City of Edmonton. As the Sustainable Utilities Strategist, you’ll provide strategic direction and manage $80 million in utility contracts. This vital role reports to the General Supervisor of Environmental Management and requires a minimum of 7 years in the power industry.
You'll drive competitive consumption of utilities while overseeing 1800 utility meters for civic operations. Leading a team, you will set strategic priorities and ensure compliance with regulations while supporting broader climate goals. Key Responsibilities:
- Set strategic direction for utilities supply activities
- Advise on utility supply and energy markets
- Develop plans for competitive utility consumption
- Manage utility contract execution and compliance
- Lead the teams in achieving operational goals Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, commerce, or engineering
- 7+ years in power industry experience
- Expertise in power contracts and settlement processes
- Solid analytical and negotiation skills
