Systems Testing/QA Specialist

Responsibilities

- Advise on testing strategy, plans, tools, and resources.
- Plan/organize testing for GUI & non-GUI systems; execute integration, specialized, and UAT tests.
- Develop test plans, scripts, cases; collaborate with IT leads and project teams.
- Execute functional, integration, system, regression tests; validate system behavior.
- Identify, document, track defects (ALM, JIRA, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps).
- Work with developers to reproduce/resolve issues.
- Develop/maintain automated scripts (UFT, Selenium, TestComplete, Postman).
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Conduct performance, stress, load testing.
- Ensure AODA compliance.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, PMs; participate in Agile ceremonies.
- Maintain documentation of results, coverage, metrics; contribute to manuals/release notes.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards/regulations.

General Skills

- Experience planning/implementing testing efforts.
- Knowledge of structured methodologies, CASE tools, query tools.
- Experience with automated tools, version control.
- Execute functional/non-functional/system integration tests.
- Support UAT; apply QA principles/methodologies.
- Create strategies, plans, cases, data for testing.
- Knowledge of SDLC phases.
- Strong analytical/problem-solving/communication skills.
- Team player with deadline focus.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall.
- Tools: ALM, JIRA, Bugzilla, TestRail, Zephyr.
- Automation/API testing: Selenium,



Cypress, Postman.
- Scripting: Python, JavaScript, Bash.
- Backend validation via queries.
- Basic security testing; collaborate with specialists.
- Test data strategies ensuring privacy.
- Validate data integrity across systems/databases.
- Performance testing with JMeter/LoadRunner.

Desirable Skills

- Programming knowledge.
- Experience with info retrieval packages.
- Object-oriented testing methods.
- Knowledge of Information Management principles.
- AODA compliance.
- Experience with COTS testing.
- Coding automated scripts.
